Two days before 2026, I lost my job. In the middle of 2025, I took a leap of faith. I left my personal training career to join a startup full-time. I believed in its vision, its potential for growth, and the stability it promised. But in the end, the founder decided to dissolve the company. Do I regret taking the leap? Not at all. The experience gave me so much—confidence, personal growth, and lessons I’ll carry with me forever. I trust that God used that season for a purpose

life rarely follows a predictable path. Being a military spouse has taught me that strength isn’t just about holding everything together; it’s about working on yourself while life keeps changing around you.

New places. New routines. New challenges. And still, choosing to grow through it all.

With every challenge comes the opportunity to become more resilient, more adaptable, and more confident in your own strength. To change, you have to pour into yourself: build confidence, protect your peace, create good habits, and stay grounded even when everything feels uncertain.

Being a supportive spouse means showing up even when it’s hard, loving them, understanding that long stretches apart and distance suck, and still giving your unwavering support.

The friendships you form along the way are unlike any other. The ones who understand time away, distance, last-minute changes, and silent strength. The ones who become family because they just get it without explanation 🤍

Growth doesn’t happen overnight. It’s in the gym sessions that clear your mind, the goals you set for yourself, the independence you build, the quiet resilience no one sees, and the support system that lifts you up on the hard days.

It is also in the small victories: making it through long periods of separation without losing yourself, finding joy in your own accomplishments, sending that encouraging text to someone who gets it, or learning to love your own company when no one else is around. Every little win counts.

Today’s mindset: embrace the unknown, trust your resilience, celebrate the reunions, the progress, and the person you’re becoming. Give yourself credit for how far you’ve come even if the journey looks different than you expected.

Growth isn’t always loud. Sometimes it simply looks like showing up and keeping going.

Strong mind. Soft heart. Unshakable spirit. 💫 Doing hard things. Putting in the work. Growing through every season.

That doesn’t mean you’re failing it means you’re human.

The beautiful part? You don’t need perfect motivation to go to the gym or move your body. Every small effort counts, and every time you choose YOURSELF, you’re building something stronger than doubt.

got to explore a new part of the world with some truly amazing people, and it was an experience I’ll never forget.

Rode a camel through the desert.
Watched the stars light up the night.
Bought an authentic Moroccan rug.
Tried traditional Moroccan tea.
And fell in love with the food.

Two days before 2026, I lost my job. I had taken a leap of faith and gave up my personal training job in the middle of 2025 for the opportunity to go full-time with a startup. I believed in the vision, the growth, and the stability it promised. But in the end, the founder decided to dissolve the company.

Do I regret taking the leap? Not at all. I gained SO much experience, confidence, and growth that I’ll carry with me forever. I trust that God used that season for a purpose, even if I don’t fully see it yet.

But… I won’t lie. Right now, it stinks. It’s scary to have something you were counting on vanish just before the new year, making you question your decisions, your timing, and your future.

So much change all at once.

With that being said, I’m trying to focus on the positives:
* I’ve been able to call the UK home for the last 3 years
* I have a supportive husband and our dog (kevin)
* I’ve had the chance to travel, explore, and experience life in ways I never imagined

So… what’s next?

This is our last year in the UK, and I’m figuring out what’s next for me → career-wise, purpose-wise, and emotionally. Some days feel overwhelming, where I beat myself up for not having a clear “career,” and other days I’m just doing my best to stay grounded and hopeful.

As a military spouse, we sacrifice a lot. We adapt, restart, and rebuild more times than most people see. And while it can feel isolating, I want you to know: if you’re in a similar position, you are not alone.

I don’t have all the answers right now, but in the meantime, I’m choosing to give myself grace, trust the process, and believe that God has something good unfolding even when I can’t see it clearly.

time really flies by when you get older

2025: what a year! It was full of growth, lessons, and stepping outside my comfort zone. I learned so much - personally and professionally. I took risks, made mistakes (because nobody’s perfect), had my share of hard days, but every challenge taught me something valuable. I will forever be grateful for this year.

2026: this year is all about me and my growth - both in my career and in life. I’m focusing on surrounding myself with people who uplift me and whose company I genuinely enjoy. Saying “no” when I don’t want to do things. Learning a new hobby (and sticking with it). Exploring parts of the world I haven’t seen yet (especially since it’s our last year in the UK), taking risks, and embracing the discomfort that comes with real growth. I have so much I want to accomplish this year.

to anyone stepping into the unknown or starting something new: you are not alone.

I like to remind myself: “we don’t grow when we are comfortable.”

no one else is on your path so embrace it fully, your way.
